Not a Partridge

Our older daughter came down yesterday & we went down to the Essex/Suffolk border, to "Constable Country", for a walk today. We parked at Flatford and walked along to Dedham, using a diverted route because of flood damage to the normal one, so didn't pass the famous Mill & surrounding buildings until the end of the walk. Beautiful weather, and a good, if a little muddy, walk (8 to 9miles), which, after Dedham, mainly followed the course of the River Stour through the marshes down to Cattawade and back. Plenty of geese, ducks & waders along the river, but not often a clear enough view to photograph them! The main Blip was taken just upstream from Flatford, as we crossed the Stour, while the extras show the view back up the Stour from the bridge at Cattawade, and Flatford Mill itself, taken just after sunset when we arrived back. The Flatford area is managed by the National Trust, while a field study centre is based at the Mill.
