Chocolate muffins

Fireworks kept me awake last night but luckily the hound slept through.  Wind didn't put people off.  Awake at 4am probably car/cars responsible.  It has become a ratrun for taxis and others at night. 

Read on Nextdoor website that a resident's dog was burned in their own garden by a stray firework.  Some responses to the incident failed to comprehend that dogs do need to go outside occasionally in their garden. 

So here's 2025.  Turned on the radio to hear news of energy and bus fare price hikes.  

But on a positive note Radio 4 has had a day celebrating the Shipping Forecast of which I'm a huge fan.  Like the those broadcasting I check which shipping zone I'm in when visiting the coast.  I've often wondered about other countrys' shipping zones and one programme introduced the Swedish broadcast with a BBC British announcer reading it in Swedish.

A rainy, blustery morning so made vegetable  and lentil sauce for lasagne.  

Managed a dog walk in between showers.  Made chocolate muffins hence emergency blip.

Been enjoying past series of Gavin and Stacey which somehow passed me by the first time.  Corden and Jones are clever writers.  Heard Ruth Jones reading the Shipping Forecast today in her very different normal voice.
