Jewels of the Winter Garden
Today, the weather has been the complete opposite of yesterday's: cold, frosty, with bright blue sky and sunshine.
We went to our favourite Hillier's Gardens just a few miles away, where the Winter Garden was looking spectacular. Here are just a couple of views. As well as the brightly coloured stems of Cornus (dogwood) and Salix, the first Hamamelis (Witch Hazels), Chimonanthus praecox (Wintersweet) and Daphne flowers were already open with their delicious scents wafting on the light breeze.
