A Cold Road to Gonfirth

A cold day again, some bright spells, chilly wind and rain at times, turning to sleet.

Up fairly early, a morning around the house.  Finally got out walkies with Sammy.  Picked up friend Julie in the afternoon, we headed out for a run in the car, along to Nesting Scrap Store, then Lerwick for shopping.  Working in the shop this evening again, a busy night.  Feet up then early to bed.

The big towe (thaw) has started, don't think there will be much snow lying around tomorrow, but more cold weather expected.  Higher up in the hills where there was more snow, it wasn't showing signs of a thaw yet.  As we came by the road, we were stunned to see this massive icicles formed over the cliff face.  A treacherous path on a cold night, glad I don't have to pass through here to get to work.  Taken next to the Loch of Gonfirth, Delting.
