Towe at da Observatory

A horrid morning of rain, sleet, snow and a cold wind.  By lunchtime it had dried, even sunshine briefly.  A dry but windy night.

Up early, headed to work.  A few folk off sick, so I was needed to cover the toon essykert, Mickey driving and loading with John.  Around Lerwick businesses with black bag waste, then residential paper recycling waste after morning break.  Popped by Madeline's briefly on my way home.  A quiet evening at home, walkies with Sammy, jigsaw time too.

A cold morning working out in the rain and sleet, especially on the fingers.  As the morning went on, the rains eased, even a glimpse of sunshine.  Looking like the winter spell is over too, the big towe (thaw) has set in mostly with the rain, and most of the snow disappeared overnight.  Up here on the hill, there was still some iced snow surviving.  I'd much rather have the snow, you can brush the worst of that off, rain just soaks you.  Taken at the old Observatory homes, Nordavatn, Gulberwick.
