I-spy books….for Birds

I’m sure many blippers had I-spy books when they were young. They are still being sold and today we bought these for the grandchildren when we were at the WWT Barnes. When they got home they ticked all the species they know they have seen, some today, some last week with us and others  back in the summer when they were by the sea. 
It rained so much overnight and was not that cold early this morning  but by the time we got to Barnes at 11 it was 4-5C. We went to see the otters being fed but….they did not come out of their house. The keeper says that often happens in the winter at the morning session. 
We went into the heated area indoors and spent some time looking over the lakes and then also in the restaurant sitting looking out of a window too. As well as birds the twins also identified the Shard, the BT tower and also Fulham Football stadium which is very near!

This afternoon we took them to swimming - lessons will now be in a different venue. A very nice pool nearer their school and their house.
Their parents started work today , they start school tomorrow.
