Today's the day ...................... to count your blessings

I'm rather liking the weather we have here at the moment - still and cold but with plenty of blue skies and sunshine.

I know that we are lucky not to have had the sort of conditions that have led to the horrific severe flooding or deep snow drifts that have been experienced in the far north - and to the south of us.  We seem to be in a wedge of the country that has been spared.  For the time being, we're counting our blessings.

You might just be able to make out the glint of a rugby ball-shaped moon, under the branch, to the left of middle in the above picture.  Always nice to see the moon and the sun at the same time ....................
