Shades of Colour

One of the surprises of going through my parents “stuff” is how much artists material there is. I was expecting paper pads, but the number is extraordinary. I was expecting paints, pencils and other materials, but not in the amounts they have collected. My sister and I have wondered if every time they went on a painting holiday they bought new materials - a fresh start, new beginnings and all that.

This is the third and last day going through the house, and we’ve made good progress. Day three has been sunny and very cold. Thank goodness for central heating.
