A time for everything

What a difference the sun makes!

Thursday
The snow on the back garden was glistening in the morning sunlight, as we looked out while having our breakfast. During this frigid cold and snowy weather, we are only having morning choir practice, rather than the option of evening, so I was really torn between going to Bible study or choir. In the end, choir won out. On the way back home, we made a detour for a walk around Swaim Park to provide me with a blip opportunity. However, since the blue sky and sunshine were so enticing, we decided to go out in the afternoon too, driving out to Rowe Woods, where we enjoyed a great hike on the snowy trails. We took our nano spikes with us just in case, but it was predominantly snowy, rather than icy, so we didn’t need to use them, our hiking poles were sufficient. It was so quiet out in the snowy woods, hardly a sound, other than our steps scrunching on the snow, and the sound of the water in the stream when we were walking next to it.
Tomorrow we return to cloudy skies, and the promise of more snow, starting about 1pm -:they’re saying another 3-6 inches, so we’ll see how accurate they are!
