Clifford’s Tower
We had a slow start to the day. I could hear TT and his mum chatting, but I lay in bed and read my book. The River Ouse is flooded again, and the river level was higher than last night. It was a nice day, so late morning TT and I got ourselves out. We did a bit of shopping for TT’s mum, including buying something for lunch. TT also bought some marmalade oranges. He was very excited when we spotted them at the greengrocer as he didn’t manage to get any last year.
The City Walls were closed due to the icy conditions, so our walk was confined to the streets. Our walk eventually took us back into the City centre, then back home for lunch.
I went out for another walk later in the afternoon, going over to Museum Gardens and the Minster area. I popped into a few shops and made a sale purchase before heading home. I had left TT cooking, and the house smelled lovely when I got in. We had a lovely meal, then TT and his mum watched a film. I couldn’t be bothered with it, so just read my book.
This is Clifford’s Tower reflected in the flood water in Tower Gardens. The extras are of the river and the oranges!
