"Study in Wire" or "A Look at the Pier"
I captured this shot from inside the car as we were cresting the hill on our street just south of our house. We had been to worship services at Calvary Chapel in Morro Bay and then to the Albertson's grocery store to re-stock our supplies.
The wires make capturing a clear, unobstructed photo almost impossible, but I'm sure most of us would rather have electricity, TV, telephone, and Internet connection than to have no wires. So I look beyond the wires, over the rooftops to the pier.
Hwy #1 toward the north, which leads to the beautiful region of the Big Sur Coast can be seen and the Sunday-end-of-the weekend- traffic headed from a couple days of playing in the wonderland of the shore and inland foothills. Those hills, that are a lovely green in winter and spring, have now turned to summer tawny and possibly more so this year because rainfall was basically absent this past spring.
The trees in this little village are beautifully green and the houses on the north end hug the cliffs. This is a favorite view for me, seen for just a split second each time we return home after being somewhere south of here.
As this day came to an end we did not take the pups for a walk to the beach. There's always tomorrow.
Good night from California's Magnificent Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
