I have my list and
I will pack well today, so
tomorrow I'm gone!

I was up making my coffee in dark this morning, as usual. There was that lovely glow in the eastern sky about 7.

I needed to get a parcel in the mail this morning. My quilting friend in New Zealand has a birthday in a month, so the parcel needed to be on its way. Our little Foothlills post office had a long lineup when I stepped in. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I peeked down the long hallway to the post boxes and I caught the line up in front of me.

My last stop was my bank. I thought I should carry some cash for my travel days. I was third in line for the automated teller machine. The man directly in front of me began to chat with me. He was very nervous about using his bank card. Someone had shown him just once how to use it and he was not certain he could remember what to do. I cheered for him when he was finished. Can you tell I was an elementary teacher for 35 years?

I'm home getting ready to depart early tomorrow morning. These events used to be so simple.
