Bright
A morning interrupted by technical failure (strimmer won't work) and a successful job (supplementary shade for the outdoor table) and some baking. Then off after a refreshing shower (38 C today) and lunch to pick TallGirl up from her riding holiday. I can't say I was overwhelmed by the welcome... I suspect she would have been happier if I'd worked out a deal to leave her there for the month! Anyway, I had a minute by minute account of the 48 hours on the way home (I stopped asking after a while when she mentioned an incomprehensible name "is that a dog or a horse?" as it seemed to be annoying her, but really they all sounded the same to me).
And here is a bright field photographed on the way. Of course, despite seeing no traffic in the whole deserted county, as soon as I stopped four curious vehicles arrived in the space of the 30 seconds I was out of the car.
Good to have everyone back under the same roof again.
(Update on yesterday's bat: definitely not faking, but dead.)
