A fine day (Day 3540)

My day started just as the sun was coming up,with a wander up the hill with Sigyn. unusually there was no wind, and the bay was mirror smooth.
After breakfast I went out to the garden and got a fire going, burning the wood that made up the old shed roof. While some was burning, I cut other bits to more manageable lengths and had made a fair dent in the pile by the time I stopped to take Sigyn for a wander at Lyde.
It was warm enough, and still remarkably wind-less, that I left my jacket at home. I was still too warm.
After lunch, and loading more wood on the fire, I headed to Stromness to check on the horses. I took the usual selection of silly snaps for my beautiful wife, put out fresh hay and topped up the water. I also managed to sort a little problem with the quad.
Back home for a bit more burning stuff until darkness forced me inside.
It has been a fine day.
