Candle holder

I left it far too late to take this photo by daylight but a small LED panel light came to my aid instead. I had hoped that this candle holder would emit rainbows but instead, if you look closely, each 'crystal' shows a refracted image of the room behind me.

I did manage to make a gluten free loaf cake in the evening, thanks to a recipe from Becky Excell.

Actually the main event was a visit to the dentist to follow up preparing to insert dental implants in my lower jaw. Impressions were taken as were dental X-rays which required the staff to leave  the surgery while I reclined in the leather lined chair. After some probing, the dentist discovered that one of the implants he had done preparatory work for last time had been lost! Had I swallowed it? I have no idea.

But it means returning in February for the work to be re-done and a whole set of anaesthetic injections in my lower jaw which are horrible. And then another three month wait for everything to settle down.

A screw had come loose on the remaining implant which has been rubbing my lower lip and causing pain which has been excruciating at times. I can't understand  why I have put up with it.
