Historic waterfall, Mote Park

No idea why is it is called. Or why it is there. I did glean that it was built by the aristocrat who owned the park (or rather by his labourers) go give his visitors something elegant to look at.

After decades of neglect it was restored a few years ago and is now billed as a major attraction in the park. The aristocrat, Lord Cornwallis did leave a legacy of fine trees, a beech avenue and the lake, so we’ve had it pretty good.

Saw the sun, all be it briefly, today. Where did the day go? Later up meant everything else was later than usual. Mind you, it made little difference to the lack of colour, hence the mono

Had a meeting with the chairman of the tennis club about their hedges and trees which overhang our allotments blocking the light on some plots. Looks like there’s a way forward and a willingness to find solutions. There is on our part.

Then it was on to that hallowed tennis club to see an exhibition by the Borough Council about reviewing the two conservation areas in Bearsted. The Council are proposing three extensions and one small deletion. All good ideas I think unless you happen to have property in the new extension!

Uketock this evenings fingertips are smarting. Took delivery of a new iPhone today. Waiting until I get the protective case before I set it up for use
