Windermere Avenue
Up early to drive to Salford, and from there Dan and I took the train to London, at which point he went back to his house and - to avoid a bus replacement service - I took the tube to Morden.
My brother, Wol, picked me up 'round the corner from the station, on Windermere Avenue, and we went back to my folks'.
I was glad to see my Dad and I will say no more than that, except that he's not in any pain, and is quite peaceful. I think he enjoyed having us around and we focussed on my niece, whose birthday presents I'd brought with me.
To give Dad a break, Wol and I went out for some late lunch with a friend of ours, Danny, who was more Wol's friend than mine at school, but later we played in a band together.
And after spending a little more time with Dad, Wol took me back to Morden and I headed up to Salford.
