Everest: Revisited

We normally go to garden centres on Wednesday but we'd used our coffee vouchers at the usual places so we were thinking of somewhere else to go - on a rainy day.

As we pulled into the garage at Rheged we noticed there was an Everest exhibition on. I'm not a climber, not even a fell-walker but I found it very interesting. For starters, I was amazed at the quality of photographs taken in 1922. The documentation was excellent and the paintings were good to look at.

Of course there was coffee and scones so it was a nice afternoon out for the three of us.
