First shot with the new camera. Not exactly earth shattering is it? Weather not up to much outside. Cold rain and dark didn’t lend itself to anything I could see out doors. It’ll take me a while to get to grips with the functionality of the new camera and the phone generally for that matter.

They’re and appropriate shot I think as we’re entertaining one of Susan and Doreen’s oldest friends tonight. John and Conchita ( of Spanish birth) were living next door when Doreen, Ken and Susan moved in in 1977 and have remained there ever since.

We’re entertaining them as it’s the eve of Conchita’s 90th birthday tomorrow. I’m playing the chauffeur to bring them to us and take them home.

This afternoon was taken up with cooking and baking and preparing for tonight. It’s been my life’s ambition since I first knew Conchita in 1997 to make her laugh. Probably the Spanish sense of humour is different to my wry puns. Wish me luck.
