Late Sun
With the forecast for heavy rain this morning, we called off today’s golf round last night. The rain duly arrived and, apart from a brief car foray to get ingredients for tonight’s dinner, I spent the morning baking the weekly bread.
By late afternoon the weather improved so we had a quick walk which took us past the local cemetery. The earliest part of the cemetery here contains some lovely old gravestones- and views towards the Mendips. I’ve always thought it would be “a fine and private place” to spend eternity.
I was lucky to catch a shaft of sunlight on the nearest headstone, which gave me the “inspiration “ (if such it can be called) for the awful pun in the title
