Not Storm Éowyn

It rained and howled in the early hours of the morning but then the rest of the day was as usual: dull, grey, muggy and muddy underfoot. The storm hasn't been so kind up north though.

The coastal path was quiet this afternoon, with just a few dog walkers. I noticed these delightful little yellow blooms with pink buds further down the same stem. It was the only colour about. I think it is a Mahonia of some kind but not certain.
