Storm Eowyn raises roof of community hall.
Grateful to a friend who sent me a video of the community hall in Helensburgh.
It's been a wild and windy day, with the storm raging, making it too strong to go outside. Despite this, several little birds were anxiously looking for food, but I had removed everything for fear of damage.
M ignored my protests to stay safe and tried to go for a walk. He got as far as the front gate before being forced back by 80mph wind.
Still don't know what damage has been done in the garden or locally because the wind is too strong to open the doors. Earlier, before it was light, I was out moving garden pots and patio furniture to safety, woken up by the fierce wind. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before, not even in the Caribbean when we were on the edge of a hurricane.
