National Bird Watch Weekend
We escaped any serious damage from storm Eowyn, just leaves and twigs. In fact most folk I spoke to today said they were surprised at how little damage was done despite the ferocity of the winds yesterday, the worst I had ever experienced.
Thank you all for your kind messages and support. I fear we are going to see a lot more storms like it in the future.
This is national bird watching weekend and tomorrow I plan to count the birds visiting our bird table and corner of the balcony. After all its only for one hour.
However, I did learn that now the RSPB are discouraging people from using flat topped bird tables because they are a source of potential infection. I did worry about this with the squirrels when I saw both grey and red using the bird table. So, I am going to have to re-think my use of the bird table which is a pity since it is a source of blips.
