St Edward's
It was a nice sunny morning so I worked in the garden, getting ready to move a ten foot tall sweet chestnut tree tomorrow. By the time we went for our afternoon walk it had clouded over and was quite cold. We set off from Hopton Castle, heading up through Purslow Woods towards Cwm and back via the Llan valley. Called in at he tiny church of St Edward's church at the end of our walk to photograph some of the stained glass windows. These three are opposite each other but I've put them together as a triptych. Surprisingly the church only dates from 1871 and the windows were probably made at the same time (I think one had a dedication to someone who died on 1869). The playwright John Osborne is buried in the graveyard.
