Chobham quiz night

Saturday evening at Chobham Village Hall for the (now) annual fundraising quiz organised by the St Lawrence Church Heritage Trust. The turn-out wasn't as great as on previous occasions but the hall was still buzzing with enthusiastic quizzers. The entrance fee included food, a very tasty lasagne followed by profiteroles and cream. That made our wooden spoon position on the night seem almost bearable. Our team only numbered six whilst other teams were twice that size, so we didn't have as much brain/memory power to draw on. There wasn't that much in it - we shot ourselves in the foot sometimes by taking the wrong option of answers we were considering - but that's quizzing for you! The good news is that the Trust has funded the long awaited repair of the St Lawrence Church clock.
