For the second day on the trot, I have sand in my ears and hair. I have a sore back and jarred hip from falling awkwardly. That's nothing compared to my red face totally embarrassed at making an arse of myself in front of half a million people who were on the beach at the time! Slight exaggeration.

I am going to have to go out in disguise for the rest of my holiday here in Ayr.
