Hellebore
These flowers are so low and near to the ground that when it rains they get splashed with mud as the rain falls on the ground next to them. As it hasn't rained for a while I thought I could find some clean looking ones and this one was just about okay.
It was so horribly grey today, I am looking forward to the sunshine that is forecast for the next couple of days.
I have started laying out the things I need to pack for my photography trip to Scotland, as I go on Friday. I am trying to pack lightly, but when you have to pack heavy duty wellies, a solid and reliable tripod weighing in at 3kg (with the ballhead) and warm clothing, it may be a struggle to meet the 23kg luggage restriction for the plane. I usually pack non dairy milks and gluten free food but as we are going to a big supermarket in Fort William I will not take anything with me and fingers crossed the supermarket there will have the brands that I like. When you have to eat gluten free food you soon become very particular about which brands you eat, as the food can range from tasting as good as the real thing to tasting like sawdust. We are staying in a self catering cottage on the Isle of Skye hence the need to get groceries when we arrive. These workshops are always hard work with long days, up long before sunrise and back after sunset, so I don't think that self catering is ideal, but apparently the photo leader will be cooking the meals so hopefully that works out.
