A Mootie Hoose
A fine day, mostly cloudy with a breeze, the odd light shower. Rained over teatime, but come a fine calm clear evening.
Another day working with Steve on the mini essykert. Plastic business recycling waste first thing around Lerwick. Headed out west after break, black bag waste. Walkies with Sammy after work. Working in the shop this evening, another quiet night. Feet up before bed.
We stopped off for our break, while heading out west. I took the opportunity for a quick guttery walk, which took me to this mootie (tiny) house. I can't remember the full or even correct story to this house, but it was built by a Mr Gray, for his mother, sadly no dates. She had started doitin (dementia), and was prone to walking off, also taking animals into her house. Her son built the house to contain her, also being so small, she couldn't fit any animals, especially a cow inside. There really isn't much room inside, enough for a small bed and chair, along with the mootie fireplace. Not sure what the authorities would make of this nowadays. Note the old school in distance. The mootiest of houses, next to Dunder croft, Sand, Sandsting.
