Merrick at the Line...Shooting Two

Another game for the Linden Eagles 8th grade basketball team tonight. Grandson Merrick had quite a fan contingent in the stands. I think there were 9 of us cheering him on, so perhaps the pressure was on.

How did it go? 

It was a weird game. With both teams playing sloppily, we were behind at halftime 11-9. But, here comes the weird part. The other team didn't score another point. They finished with 11 points, while we added 29 points...winning 38-11.

Merrick had a good game, scoring 10 points along with several rebounds and a couple of assists. He was pleased with himself as he greeted his fans after the contest.

Using my first extra of the year, baby Violet showed up for her first basketball game. I think she is our great-niece and Merrick's cousin. She is being held by her Grandma Lori (Lisa's sister) and is super cute.
