The starlings and the flicker
The starlings don't seem to learn, or they don't like sharing the suet. The northern flicker comes looking for lunch, and the starlings are right there. The northern flicker will peck at them, but they keep coming back.
The morning started out cold and sunny, temperature was -12 C when I got up. By the time I finished work around 3 pm it was -2 C and cloudy. The snow started around 6 pm, and the temperature is supposed to continue to rise to +4 by tomorrow morning. The snow may change to rain around midnight. I don't think there will be enough rain to melt the snow, just enough to make it heavy to shovel in the morning.
The landlord actually came home this evening. She is still parked on the street, so she must be waiting for her roommate to come home before she puts her truck in the driveway. I have to leave for work around 8:15 tomorrow morning, so will have to get up early enough to have time to clear off the truck.
Tomorrow is the first day back with MCA, we start the shampoo relines at Walmart. Hopefully everyone shows up.
