Final one from Chania for now

Tonight I'll be sailing up to Pireos / Athens and then having another 10 days before I fly home in Holland. I don't know whether I'll manage to post some entries in those days... from my handy I'll manage as long as it's uploaded, I need to use its camera than. 

Right now the clouds lift some and I saw a glimpse of the mountains... they have a layer of new snow! So welcome and so needed here! I hope these weeks more snow will follow on the mountains here; coz having been emptied of that in the first days of February is another bad record... now that's undone and hopefully enough will fall to last till June to be gone, like in "old times" that is 30 years ago, 

Apart from the need of snow on the Cretan mountains,  this is a week of agonies for the people of the Cyclade Islands (like Amorgos and Delos, Paros  etc) and Santorini, where continuously seismic actions (earthquakes) take place... all who can move away from Santorini did so already... and I imagine they rightly did so! They fear a big earthquake and otherwise an eruption of the vulcano Kalderas what destroyed Santorini 4000 years ago... No one knows what will happen and if such will happen, just the meters show the big tremors of the moment all the time.
