What a day!

I caught this white breasted nuthatch looking for food in the tree, then he flew over to the neighbor's feeder.

I went out to start my truck this morning to go to work and the steering wheel had locked and the key wouldn't turn. I tried turning the steering wheel a bit, but no luck. I have no idea what happened to it, it was fine on Saturday. The landlord was outside, getting ready to put some salt on the driveway to start melting the ice. She tried it too, but no luck. She offered to let me use her truck for the day, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. Then she offered to drive me to work, so I let her do that. I took an Uber home this afternoon. I called CAA to get them to come and have a look at it and tow it to the shop if needed. It was over a 3 hour wait for them to show up. I had called the shop to let them know it would likely be towed to them and dropped off after hours. They did not have any ideas why the steering wheel would have locked.
I called Marilyn and told her I would need the use of her car for a couple of days. It has been over 2 weeks since I had it out for a drive, between the weather and working, it's been hard to get out. I picked it up tonight so I have it here in the morning. Of course her car started without any problems, it does have a new battery in it. My biggest concern is that the brakes may seize on it if it sits for too long. So far, they have been alright.
There was some light snow late this afternoon and early evening. I just heard the plow go by for the second time.
The job today had a couple of problems. We were moving one brand of makeup from a wall position to a sidewinder, and another brand was being moved from a sidewinder to the wall. Of course, dismantling the display that was on the wall, some of the screws stripped. Then the brand that was beside it, when it was built, they had it too far from the display on the other side of it, so it had to be taken apart, moved and put back together. The new display that we built bowed out slightly at the bottom, leaving a space between a couple of the bottom shelves. There was nothing we could do about it. Overall it took an extra hour of time for both of us to complete the job.
The first hair color reline is scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully it will go well.
