Peaches

Is not a morning cat person. She gets up when I get up, has her breakfast, gets some attention, then while I am checking my email, she settles down for another nap.

The garage called me this morning, they got my truck running again. The mechanic was able to pull the steering wheel straight while he was turning the key. Now I have to make sure the steering wheel is straight when I pull into the driveway so it doesn't lock again. Apparently it is a common problem with trucks and some cars too. It has happened to be before when parked on a hill and the wheels are turned. There was one time I didn't think I was going to get it unlocked, it took several tries. Again, there was no charge.
I need 2 new tires for the truck. I did think about leaving the truck there till Thursday, when the tires will arrive. Then I heard the weather forecast, it has gotten worse. There is a special weather statement in effect. Snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, rain and some wind. A generally messy day and best to stay off the roads unless necessary. I have to work at the Walmart that is just up the street from the garage next week, so I will drop it off in the morning and pick it up after we finish work that day.

The original job I had scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled. The store will be doing renovations in March and they don't want people in there now doing relines. I get to enter that call and get paid for an hour. One of the other stores closed in November(a worker died inside a walk in oven), and they only reopened last week, after their renovations were complete. We were going to go there tomorrow because the department manager had been complaining, wondering why we were not there before the store re-opened. They did not ask us to go in. Kim has been trying to call the store for the past couple of days, but they don't answer their phone. Walmarts only answer their phone between 8 and 8:30 am. Dave was working in Halifax today so Kim asked him to stop in and let them know we would be there tomorrow. Except between Thursday and today, they did their own reline. Dave took the required pictures, emailed them to me so I can enter the call.  Eight of us, including myself, will get paid for 3 hours each, because the store canceled.
Kim suggested that I move up one of my Shoppers hair color calls to tomorrow and get a couple of the new workers to come with me, to get them started on their training. So we have a plan now.  The typical February reline season, schedule changes get made quickly, as needed.

A couple of years ago, the whole team showed up at one of the Walmarts ready to do the shampoo reline. I was not the lead that year. When we got there, we found out the store had already done the reline. Since we had people there, we were going to do the hair color reline, but they could not get the printer to work. So everyone got paid for 3 hours even though we were only there an hour.
