Allermuir Hill

A cold start to the day. The wind blows in off the North Sea bringing wintry showers at times. There are no snow/rain showers showing on the rain radar as we go out for a morning walk. We take a clockwise route, so the wind is on our back for most of the route. The snow is trying to settle on the higher hills, as is shown on the blip photo, but it is too warm where we are. The only precipitation occurs on the short walk in to the wind on the way home. Not surprisingly, the park is very quiet. Home made soup for lunch is great to warming up after a walk.

After work, the weather is still pretty bleak and cold. We go for a walk well wrapped up. Not a walk to stop and admire the views, just getting out for a bit of fresh air and exercise. Can't see the Pentlands, so can't see if the snow has any level of accumulation on the hills. Nice to get home to a warm house.
