I was off to the library for our 12:30 PM meeting of our art association. I took a shot at the front of the library to illustrate the lack of mountains in the background. The wind came up this morning tossing dust so visibility is not good. 

We always feature 'show and tell' in our meeting. It was great to see all the fused glass pieces that came out of our Paint-In Day from last week. Members also brought art to share on the theme of Valentine's Day. 

Patti, a plein air buddy and a master with her soft pastels, gave a demonstration to show how one can be efficient with  a mere 100 strokes to complete a painting. Members were then challenged to give it a try themselves. 

I managed to get home again before the wind took me away. I'm in for the day and will be ready for a bus trip in the morning.
