Muffins

Tomorrow it will be exactly eleven years since I attended a ukulele taster class, so today I have baked cakes for our uke class tomorrow.  These are Orange zest and ground cardamom muffins. I've also made chocolate chip muffins. 
This afternoon I  volunteered at Winchester GoLD's drop in session to assist the LD members make Valentine's day cards and hearts. We all( about 15 members and 6 helpers)had a good time. On radio 4's Woman's Hour programme this morning there was a short article about a similar small charity in Dorset. An independent study showed they and probably other similar charities save their local authority £10 for every £1 spent as these charities provide very cost effective advocacy and support services for people with learning disabilities. Sadly,increasingly, these organisations are having to rely more on community donations, than on funding from local authorities, to provide these vital services to some of our most vulnerable adults.
