Trying out the new idea

I'm not good at visualising things so despite needing to haul around slate left over from last year's work, I laid out my rough paper sketch from last night to see whether I liked it. I do. There's a bit of slate to buy but not much, and the supplier still has the same stone. Then I put it all back and M power-washed the plinth.

As an extra: the broken concrete and rubble that M loaded onto his truck and drove to a waste disposal place because he couldn't bear the thought of the 30+ cycle trips to the dump that I was planning. Obviously I pay him and the waste disposal fees but I feel lighter in every sense.

I rested this evening in front of the cinema screen: A Right Pain. I enjoyed it but on the way out I bumped into my neighbour from my previous home, who I haven't seen for ages, and she really didn't. She's Polish, Jewish and teaches theatre so I'd be especially interested to hear more about what she has to say.
