A Complete Unknown
Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . for 'the best laid schemes . . . '
We did have quite a romantic Valentine's Day planned for today.
There was a special showing of the 2024 film about Bob Dylan entitled 'A Complete Unknown' at the Burns Centre Cinema in Dumfries. It's such a comfortable place to see any film - and this one was utterly superb. Then it was back home, to enjoy a romantic meal with a particularly good wine to accompany it.
This is when it all went a bit pear-shaped because, as soon as we arrived home, we knew there was something amiss. No lights, no electricity - again?! It was a real feeling of deja vu as we got out the candles and managed as best we could.
We're told it's a fuse in the substation and that power will be back by midnight. But we've heard that before - so we're not holding our breath. But it had better be alright by the morning because we have special guests arriving tomorrow . . . . . . . !
