Little Country Church

As expected, it was raining when we went downstairs. There are flood watches in effect throughout the area. We started our day doing laundry and the last bit of cleaning. Hubby and I packed clothes, filled coolers and got everything in the SUV. We headed to town after a late lunch. This old country church caught my eye. We rode through fog most of the way. Hubby filled the gas tank, we went to 4:00 Mass and met my sister and BIL for dinner. We are at the theater waiting for the band to start playing. Isla is still not feeling well but she is better than yesterday. Kim and her family are in Virginia; Mancil’s grandmother passed this week. Renee is in Florida and hopes to get home before the forecasted snowstorm at home midweek. We are scattered near and far. I will be happy when everyone is home safe and sound. We expect to drive approximately 4.5 hours tonight starting at 9:00. We are praying the rain won’t be too hard and the winds will moderate. Wishing you safe travels. Thanks for your visit.

Are black with winter (autumn) rain
And dreary winds foreboding call
The darkness down again” - Emily Bronte
