The ditch...

...at the bottom of the sledging run, after a slight crash. Isaac has managed to scoop a fair bit of snow up with his jacket.
A day of sledging, which means large amounts of exercise for everyone. Swoosh down and walk back up through the snow. But there's a fair bit of digging too, such as filling the ditch with snow, so the run doesn't end crashing into the far side of said ditch. The extra shows some of that digging and the whole of today's sledging area. I think tomorrow we will move into the longer and steeper field next to the house.
We all had a break for lunch and the kids had a rest and then a walk with the kick-sledges, as shown on HarlinDarling's blip. This gave the adults parents more exercise because the children liked sitting on the front. On the downhills it was fine, but on the uphills it's a fair bit of work pushing even a small person up the slope. As I wrote; good training for mum and dad!
Once home again the sledges were in action until it really was too dark to see anything! Once again I'm sure we will all sleep well.
