Silbury Hill (Monday 17th February 2025)
I was enticed out by the hint of blue sky and drove to Avebury. I stopped first at Silbury Hill where there was a heron on the moat alongside the ducks, but I didn't have my super-zoom bridge camera with me. My plan to take the footpath to the stone circle was dashed by the shoe-sucking mud, so instead I drove to the NT car park. After a quick look at the stones I had a short tour of the Avebury Manor gardens, including the stripped back Kitchen Garden.
In Extras are some wild Silbury Hill snowdrops, ducks on the moat, an Avebury Manor garden path and the Kitchen Garden.
