Girls of style …

..at the pond! And fun in the park - extra.

A brighter day and dry but oh so cold! Non the less we headed up to Coppice Pond in the St Ives Estate, which borders our village, to feed the swans and ducks.
Despite the cold the girls soon abandoned their coats! Around the far side of the pond we found some ducks to feed and the swans were soon on their way, as you can see in the blip. when they saw there was food. I noticed last time we were here the adult swans have already exiled the juveniles. Tis the season I suppose.

Very shortly after taking this two Greylag geese arrived, new to the pond I think, and came straight out of the water towards Jude with her bag of food, she was totally freaked out! Tgey are pretty big out of the water.

We stopped again at the other side of the pond to feed the juveniles but it wasn’t long before dad was there viciously driving them away. Food all used up we walked across to the play area which was very busy but non the less the girls git all the rides they wanted and had a great time as you can see in the extra.

Home for some warming soup followed by belated birthday cake and then, leaving Chris in charge, Grace and I popped up to Coldspring  Mill in the next village to check out some wool knitting yarn. Grace chose some chunky alpaca so it looks like I will be knitting again soon.

Chilling now. Alex will be popping down tonight, he’s having a new shower and bathroom installed this week so he will be coming for a shower and a share in the birthday cake as well spending some time with the girls.
