Derelict vehicles

It was partly sunny when I got up this morning so I decided to take a trip to the valley. Most of my photos today were taken from the truck. I was hoping to see some eagles around Grand Pre, but it was very quiet there, only a half dozen crows around. That is unusual for this time of year. I did find a flock of American robins at the NSCC in Kentville, there must have been at least 50 in the area. They were having a feast on the crab apples, some were on the ground and others were in the tree.

I drive by this property in the main photo many times. I did stop for a photo a few years ago, and decided it was time for another one today so I would have something for the derelict challenge this week.

I decided it was time to plant an idea in Marilyn's head. She will not take advice from anyone, but if you mention something she should do, it may take her a week or more, but she thinks about it, decides it is a good idea, but she never gives anyone credit for suggesting it. Her friend, Terry, who has been coming in 3 - 4 times a week for the past 4 months has decided she can only come in once a week. Terry has been doing laundry for her, picking up groceries, putting her garbage out and generally doing everything for her. I suggested that she hire someone privately to do some home care for her. Her cleaner, who comes in for a half day every other week does some laundry for her. But there are things that her cleaner does not do. And I am not going to start going over there every couple of days to do things for her. She claims that the supervisor for the home care that she does get doesn't think that she needed anything more. Her washer and dryer are in the basement, she wasn't able to get down there by herself before she had the stroke, she definitely can't get down there now using a walker or a cane. I never asked her if she regrets not getting the stackable washer and dryer when she renovated her bathroom several years ago. She talked about it, but never got one. I will let a couple of other people know what I suggested tomorrow, when I see them at brunch. Then they can casually mention hiring private home care when they are talking to her.
