Close Shave

I have been given the task of TLC'ing the rotten wood on the (open-able) windows in the sixth form centre. As I took one of the windows off...
....just as I thought there'd be enough paint on the frame and hinges to hold the window in place as I took out the last hinge screw, the window fell onto the roof below. Yipes! During it's full flight in slow motion and final resting place, across an apex of two roofs, the window miraculously stayed intact. It could be that the soft rotten wood and multiple layers of paint saved the glass from shattering? Maybe, but I doubt my luck will survive next time.....  

Phew!

On the boat tonight as Dad and I have some TLC boat work to do. Back into the workhouse tomorrow.
