8° Feeling like 1°
It was a chilly wind that met me and three other stalwarts at the shore this morning. I wasn’t expecting such a cold wind chill but the sun appeared on cue at 7:45 which made a difference. The sea was calm and clear and I celebrated with a handstand in the sea. I have to continue practising to keep my end up (pardon the pun) with the Stromness Selkies’ Handstanders.
I just missed a 26 bus on the return journey and had to wait 10minutes for the next one only for it to be held up all the way to Abbeyhill by tail backs at the generous number of road works which the Council have decided apparently need to be done at the same time. It actually took me a hour and a quarter from the time I got on the bus at Porty until I reached home I could have travelled to Glasgow or flown up to Orkney in the same time.
It’s not sunny anymore now and we have had frequent showers of raining sweeping over the Meadows on a west wind. My phone says it feels like 1° and I wouldn’t disagree.
My Elgin twins are coming for Söderberg pizzas tonight. You can’t turn up your nose at an offer of 2 for the price of 1. I’ll be interested to find out how the flat hunting is going.
The virtual log fire is crackling merrily on the wall while I have just failed today’s sudoku test - infuriating.
