A Regular Atmospheric River Around Here

Whoa, we had such a deluge of wind and rain - and thunder. Pretty much all day and all night long. Atmospheric River is definitely part of the lexicon. We’ve been tweaking our drainage systems all winter and the result is: a dry basement.

The Tire bird feeder is ceramic, a xmas gift to Eric. I don’t like it; it doesn’t drain and it’s silly looking. But Eric likes it a lot. Serves me right, I guess, because I’m probably stuck with it. Maybe it’s the rope. I’ll look for a black rope or cord to hang it by . . .

Oh, maybe the year of loss has finally come to an end: I lost my sister and her daughter, but now their first grand and great-granddaughter is here. Check out little Lucienne Marie (Lucie).
