Happy Moments

What a great first full day of visiting friends and family.

Nicoiseannie kindly picked me up and we went on a real blip adventure.
Just over the border into Cambridgeshire sits a small village called East Hatley.

Following a small amount of investigation we found an historic medieval church called St Denis’ dating back to at least 1217.

In 1959 the church was declared redundant and although some restoration work was initially completed in 2006 it wasn’t until 2016 when an organisation called ‘Friends of Friendless Churches’ stepped in, took ownership and made further progress that can be seen today.

The Friends of Friendless Churches are an independent non-denominational charity whose mission is to save beautiful old places of worship of architectural and historic interest.

Wow, it was just fabulous. Both of us walked round and round taking photos, and I’ve chosen a few of my favourites for my blip.

After the welcome blipmeet cup of tea on the way back, we made arrangements to meet up again before I go back up north.

This evening my friend Debbie came over with fish and chips and we caught up on news of the last few weeks since December when I saw her last.
