Hocus Pocus
Another frosty, but gloriously sunny, morning. We took my Mother back to the audiologist to have the customised end tips (made from impressions taken last visit) attached to her new hearing aids. They fit her ear canals so much more snugly, so she should hear better and be less likely to lose the aids.
When we returned to the care home, we went for a walk in the garden. She used to go for a walk there most days, but seems to have got out of the habit. Hopefully, with better weather, she may reinstate this routine. Lots of flower buds are appearing. When she spotted these crocus flowers she immediately said, "Hocus pocus, yellow crocus!" and we went on to other identify plants, whose names she still recalls well, yet has to keep reminding herself of the time, and questioning whether she should be going in for lunch?
