Rather than rushing to make the 10 o'clock ferry we lingered over breakfast, checked out just before 10.30 and drove along the road to Oighre Eyre(the only "main" road on the island we hadn't been along) and then pottered around the harbour area before catching the 12 15 ferry.

We saw three Highland Cows sheltering under rhododendrons at the side of the road of our drive (but didn't stop to take a picture).

We stopped at the Co-op at Broadford for petrol and sandwiches (and a short exchange in Gaelic with the cashier) and made good time back down to Pitlochry.

It was a great wee break.
