Morston

It’s been another glorious sunny day, so I took myself off to Morston first thing (after scraping the ice off my windscreen). I was expecting to take photos from the quay, but I’d made a rookie error and not checked the tide tables and it was high tide. I don’t think I’ve seen the high tide here before, it makes for quite different photos to the mud! Then I spotted a kestrel and managed to get a couple of photos (the best profile was ‘into the sun’, so my extra is one of the kestrel on a boat mast with a lovely blue sky behind it). I’ve also added a phone photo as it gave me a wide angle view (I had my long lens on). I walked most of the coast path towards Blakeney, it was lovely to see and hear skylarks, linnets and dunnocks singing. This afternoon I took the covers off the raised planter and pond and knocked the dead leaves off, then used the pump to lower the water in the pond. I also cut the lawn on the highest setting for the first time this year.
